I’d like to introduce everyone to my new theme song

fuckin MOOD

I love the contrast between the lyrics and the melody this is art

pfffffffft nooooo I didn’t just learn this song on ukulele… at midnight…

Lyrics:

I’ve tried, tried, tried
And I’ve tried even more
I’ve Cried, Cried, Cried
And I can’t recall what for
I’ve pressed, I’ve pushed, I’ve yelled, I’ve begged
In hope of some success
But the inevitable fact is that
It never will impress

I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fucks have runneth dry,
I’ve tried to go fuck shopping
But there’s no fucks left to buy
I’ve no more fucks to give,
Though more fucks I’ve tried to get,
I’m over my fuck budget and
I’m now in fucking debt

I strive, strive, strive
To get everything done
I’ve played by all the rules
But I’ve very rarely won,
I’ve smiled, I’ve charmed, I’ve wooed I’ve laughed,
Alas to no avail
I’ve run round like a moron,
To unequivocally fail!

I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fuck fuse has just blown,
I’ve been hunting for my fucks all day,
But they’ve upped and fucked off home,
I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fuck rations are depleted,
I’ve rallied my fuck army but It’s been fucking defeated!

The effort has just not been worth
The time or the expense
I’ve exhausted all my energy
For minimal recompense
The complete lack of acknowledgement
Has now begun to gall
And I’ve come to realise that I
Don’t give a fuck at all!

I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fucks have flown away,
My fucks are now so fucked off
They’ve refused to fucking stay!
I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fucks have gone insane
They’ve come back round and passed me
While they’re fucking off again!

I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fucks have all dissolved,
I’ve planned many projects
But my fucks won’t be involved!
I’ve no more fucks to give,
My fucks have all been spent,
They’ve fucked off from the building
And I don’t know where they went!

I’ve no more fucks to give,
I’ve no more fucks to give,
I’ve no more fucks,
I’ve no more fucks,
I’ve no more fucks to give!

Good news folks it’s on Spotify!!!

There are a number of students in my GCSE class that have behavioural issues and if they feel uncomfortable they can do anything from storm out of the classroom to throwing chairs and punching their tables. They’re great kids, they just dont always see the light at the end of the tunnel and when they are in stressful situations they dont know what to do other than lash out sometimes. They are 10 months away from their final exams and the pressure is being mounted on them in every aspect of their school lives.

Last week one of the students saw me making little origami stars. Its something I do when I’m feeling anxious to help me focus on something else. He asked if I could show him how to make them. He had been clenching his fists all lesson, which I’ve noticed is a tell that he is struggling to retain composure. I gave him a strip of paper and talked it through with him. Soon half of the class were asking me to show them. They all picked it up really quickly.

After about five minutes and about 8 stars later, the student sat back down and was in a much calmer and motivated mood for the rest of the lesson. Our next lesson I placed a box of paper strips on my desk and when I saw anyone getting worked up about their work I silently placed a strip in front of them and let them get on with it. The lesson after I was amazed to see that students would go up to the box of their own accord, pick up a few strips and head back to their desks to continue working after calming down.

Yesterday I brought a large jar into the classroom and placed my anxiety stars in there. The boys put their strsss stars in there too. When they fill the jar I’m going to bring sweets into the lesson to celebrate them working hard and working through their problems in a positive manner. I know I’m not the teacher they deserve just yet but I feel like I’ve made a big breakthrough with them.

art therapy is important.

You are exactly the teacher they need. It’s a brilliant idea and im so glad it works for them.

Thought: I do NOT think that 50% of the world’s billionaires should be women. I think there shouldn’t be any billionaires at all.

So you are saying 0% of the world should be billionaires?

Yes.

Why shouldn’t their be billionaires? That makes no sense.

Because the existence of billionaires is predicated on the exploitation of human labor and unsustainable environmental harm.  That level of wealth hoarding is harmful to economies, as it reduces the amount of money in circulation. No one person, no family, could ever conceivably even SPEND a billion dollars anyway, and  it is inherently immoral to accumulate wealth so narrowly while so much of the world lives in abject poverty.

Better then to create a wealth ceiling, a point at which all wealth over a certain point  is taxed at or very near 100% to incentivize people to actually spend their money rather than hoard it, stimulating the economy and bettering the lives of far more people. Better even still to create and regulate economic systems that protect workers and the environment in a way that such extreme levels of wealth accumulation aren’t even feasible.

The problem with this is that it reduces the incentive to actually do fiscally well. What’s the point of starting a business if you can’t become wealthy?

There is a very real difference between “reasonably wealthy” and A BILLIONAIRE

No one is saying you shouldn’t have a nice house, we are saying that having multiple really, really ridiculously nice houses while your employees are either homeless or at serious risk of becoming homeless is immoral.

I’ll never understand why this concept is hard for people. I think it’s because they can’t actually fathom how much $1 Billion is.

Seriously.

Let’s say you have a badass job. A great job. You make $100 AN HOUR. You work 10 hours a day ($1000 A DAY), 5 days a week ($5000 a week!!!), every week ($20,000 A MONTH), thats $240,000 Every Year.

It would take you 4,167 years to make a billion dollars.

Keep in mind then, that if you got paid $1000 an hour, 10 hours a day, five days a week, every week, all year, it would still take over 400 years to make a billion.

You want to make one billion in a human lifetime? If you made $10,000 an HOUR, 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, every week, all year, it would take you 41 years to hit a billion.

(And that’s not counting, ya know, money you spend to stay alive on food or rent or anything. )

Jeff Bezos currently has 140 billion dollars.

$10,000 an HOUR while most of us barely making $12. Can y’all conceptualize now?

Will always reblog

Someone who makes $150,000 a year would be considered very successful. They’d be in the top 5 percentile. They’d easily be able to afford a nice house, a nice car, vacations on a regular basis, a good life for their children, etc.

But it would literally take them over a million years of spending nothing to become as rich as Jeff Bezos.

hey so uhhh here’s an important update on what’s apparently happening at the border, especially with the use of the old japanese internment camps

all i can say is i’m sickened by this mess, by the atrocities committed against innocent people. and now there will be no surveillance. no one will be able to see what happens to these people. the UN, the media, and any other human rights organizations cannot get into these facilities, either, in order to stop what’s happening. by the way, coast guard members were apparently aiding in this process as well. so now it’s only a matter of time before it becomes a military movement.

no one gets in. no one gets out.

so when are we going to call this what it is? it’s fascism. it’s genocide. and if we don’t stop it now, it’s going to be disastrous.

contact your senators, your representatives, anyone that’s in office that can get off their lazy ass and do something.

can y’all please reblog this i’m begging

CBP then transfers these human beings to a facility called “the Dog Pound.” (Here, my friend started crying.) The “Dog Pound” is comprised of cages, outside and on dirt, with no protection from the elements. Don’t look away.

There are dozens of teen moms there. There is no baby food. While there, my friend saw a CBP agent take a baby from her teenage mother, strip the baby of its clothes, hand the baby back to the mother, and send them outside to the “Dog Pound” to sleep in the dirt.

The “Dog Pound” has no running water, no covers, no tarp, no care, no safety from the elements. It is freezing at night, and deathly hot during the day. Everyone is sick. My friend said she saw a baby on this trip that was so sick “I thought it would be dead by morning.”

Toddlers in the “Dog Pound” who had been eating solid food are given only infant formula. Moms are trying to start breast feeding again so their children don’t starve. These moms are dehydrated, sick, & have walked miles through desert with no water. CBP gives them nothing.

It gets worse. Don’t look away. From the “Dog Pound,” these human beings are moved to an area called “The Freezer.“ The Freezer is kept at 55 degrees. Some of the refugees who are moved there are still wet from their journey, and are put in The Freezer wet.

CBP is keeping human beings in “The Freezer” for weeks at a time. WEEKS. Including critically ill people, disabled people, sick children, teenage mothers with babies. The floor of The Freezer is made of dirt or very rough concrete. There are no beds. Keep reading.

From “The Freezer,” refugees are supposed to be moved to ICE facilities that are designed for residential care. They have beds, food, bathrooms. However, (keep reading) THOSE FACILITIES ARE EMPTY. ICE IS SHUTTING THEM DOWN. Don’t look away.

What our government is doing instead is moving refugees to MILITARY INSTALLATIONS. The announcement about Fort Sill, which was used as a Japanese internment camp, is only the start. So why would our government be doing this?

Here’s why: These concentration camps (let’s call them what they are) will be under the control of the Department of Homeland Security, but within the Department of Defense.

Unlike ICE facilities, which allow site inspectors inside, there will be no inspection of military-run camps. The military will be able to deny access to anyone it chooses. No media. No oversight.

Lawyers will not be allowed in. Human rights monitors will not be allowed in. The camps will also be protected airspace, meaning that no drones can fly over them to take pictures of what’s going on inside.

In the Netherlands, abortion is legal. There is however one pro life organization called Stichting Schreeuw Om Leven. But instead of harrassing women who are on their way to the abortion clinic and make them feel miserable, they offer them HELP.

If a woman wants to get an abortion because she is financially unable to give birth to and raise a baby, the organization will pay for everything she needs during the pregnancy and after, until she’s financially stable to raise the baby on her own.

This organization won’t stop women from going to the abortion clinic, but would rather hve a healthy conversation with them. Ask them if they can help her with anything in order for them to keep the baby. They also hand out contraception in the streets for those who can’t afford it.

Women don’t get abortions just because they want to. There are reasons why. This organization doesn’t fight abortion, it fights the reasons why women get abortions. Take notes America.

Just in case you forgot, she is the girl who wore a rifle around a college campus after a major school shooting.

Hi, I’m a journalism student at Kent State University. Everyone here hates Kaitlin with a passion. She gives our university such a bad name. We do not claim her. She is the biggest coward I have ever encountered. I saw her on campus recently and I went up to her to ask her a question (because I am a journalist and that’s what I do) and she could SEE the hatred in my eyes. I know this because she backed away in fear. She was like, “sorry I don’t do that” and I was like, “Just one question” and she was literally backing away from me in fear like, “no, i’m sorry” And let me just tell you, I have neverrrrr felt more powerful. I made this biotch shake in her fuckin yeehaw boots. Fuckin ramen noodle hair ass motherfucker. Okay I’m done ranting lol sorry

For people wondering why she was ejected from a “public” Bernie rally:

1. It wasn’t actually a public event, it was a members-only event for the American Federation of Teachers in Lordstown, OH

2. She was sitting in the press section without a press pass

3. It’s obvious she went in, knowing she would be ejected, with the intention of filming her removal and framing it as a breech of her rights.

4. I mean fuck even if that weren’t the case she’s been known to threaten people who disagree with her by asserting that she carries. I wouldn’t be shocked if people would alert security after seeing her to report her assault weapon flaunting ass as a safety concern.

5. She keeps going on about how dare they call the event private because Bernie is a socialist that “doesn’t even believe in private property” affirming she intended to also use this as an opportunity to spread inaccurate defenitions of democratic socialism and cry “hypocrisy” where there is none.

6. Seriously, fuck her. She is an evil person.

One of the reasons men didn’t have an issue with Wonder Woman is because they can objectify her. She’s basically in a metal swimsuit. Now, I think they did a really good job with her costume considering what they had to work with. It looked like real armor and something that an Amazon woman would wear, way better than past iterations where she was literally in lingerie. Captain Marvel, on the other hand, is in a full suit that covers her entire body. It fits her well, but it’s not a skintight bodysuit like what Black Widow has worn before.  It’s practical and isn’t something that men can easily objectify. They didn’t have problems with some of the feminist stuff in Wonder Woman because they were too busy staring up her skirt. Men don’t have an issue with a woman on screen if it’s someone they can objectify.

I was looking everywhere for this post!

There were some things I wanted to add to further hammer this point.

Another reason men preferred Wonder Woman is because of her supposed “naivety.” She’s really intelligent, but when it came to actual interaction with men and life outside Themyscira, Diana was totally new to that and men think she’d be easy to manipulate. Even though they’d be completely wrong, that’s what they think. We see this kind of thing in the real world where American men try to manipulate women of color or women from foreign countries all the time.

Captain Marvel had an American accent and was far more advanced than they were, so she’s mentally intimidating, because they know how fast she’d pick up on their BS.

Diana also has more traditional feminine qualities, such as her delicate nature and way of speaking. The biggest reason was her love interest and the fact that the group she fought along side with were all men. In Wonder Woman, she did knock some insulting men on their asses, but right after, a man says that he’s both afraid and aroused. When Captain Marvel does the same thing, it’s more of a, “lol bitch bye!🤣” And men can’t find a reason why that would be sexually enjoyable.

Wonder Woman was actually a really awesome feminist symbol and in no way was she even sexualized, but men will still find a way. Which really sucks, because the two movies show that strong women come in many different forms and they don’t have to be anything alike, but the woman that appears more approachable will be sexualized while the other woman will be labeled as a man hater.

This reblog is fantastic, I never thought about Diana being more approachable, but it makes total sense! A lot of people think I’m hating on Wonder Woman, but I’m just pointing out how men are seeing her, and this post helps explain it even more. Her outfit wasn’t made to specifically objectify her, but it is easier for men to objectify. Wonder Woman is an amazing movie and is pretty feminist, but the stuff that’s been mentioned is why men had less of an issue with it. Wonder Woman still did get shit, but I’ve seen so many men try to defend their sexist behavior towards Captain Marvel by saying that they love Wonder Woman. I’m just pointing out in my original post one of the reasons why so many men are saying they aren’t being sexist because they love Wonder Woman but not Captain Marvel.

also, wonder woman showed attraction towards a man, which would make the male viewer feel like she could be attracted to them. captain marvel was like a big ol lesbian who didn’t show any attraction towards the men around her, and went as far as to have a really really really gay close relationships with another woman. men don’t tend to like women who are not attracted to them. they don’t like women who would rather be with other women, and not let them watch. if a woman doesn’t exist for a man then what’s her point?

This is what I have been trying to explain for quite some time now. I love Wonder Woman, no doubt there but the fact that she actually needed a man’s help to navigate through the new world set her up as a vulnerable female figure which is how men are used to seeing woman for a long time. And her love interest on screen being a man kind of made them feel in charge of the situation. Whereas Captain Marvel represents a figure of strong independent woman who herself is in charge of what she is doing. We don’t see Captain Marvel following anyone’s command and later she cuts off her hair for her own amusement. The fact that her actions were not influenced by any external male figure at any point of time makes men feel powerless as they are not playing a major role in her life.

Back in February I noticed alt-right and anti-sjw vloggers on YouTube were whipping themselves into a FRENZY over Captain Marvel vs Battle Angle Alita. The general consensus was that Battle Angle Alita should be the film everyone loves, because Alita is much “better” female representation than Captain Marvel was (despite them obviously not even seeing Captain Marvel yet). And I started to wonder… Why?

image
image

Yes, Alita is a good character… but why pit her specifically against Captain Marvel? They’re not even in the same genre of film. Why was Alita beating Captain Marvel at the box office SOOOOOO important to them?

And then I remembered this post. And yeah, that’s pretty much the reason. While Alita does have a heroic journey and learns to use her powers to defeat evil… Alita is ALSO a big doe-eyed, amnesiac, anime looking character who is literally objectified by characters around her in her own film.

image

It really does just boil down to looks for them. Alita can be objectified (hell, in the film people try to mold her into their own personal idealized version of herself), but Captain Marvel can’t.
